If we Look at the very Long time ago, the first cells began to exist from oceans
So Oceans are probebly where the live has began and the first animates.
Fish is One of thoes First Animate that start to exist about 500 million years ago and by pasing time they changed according to their environment and the amphibias apeard on plant 370 million years ago ( 130 years after fishes )
these Changes had happend for all animates during time
the Amphibians changed and reptiles apeard 20 million years after them and their descendants produced Birds and Mammals

But if you are talking scientifically it could be either,
some say the egg as it developed from minerals
some say the hen as it evolved from dinosaurs
so the real question is which came first the dinosaur or the egg
