Jesus did in:
18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, (Matthew 28:18-20)
A similar account is found beginning in Mark 16:15.
esus told his disciples to do it , and it was his last command.
Yes, they should be. Jesus commanded all Christians to go and make more disciples and that involves teaching others. Matthew 28:19,20 Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age."
Yes. There are many, including my favorite:Matthew 28:19-20Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.God talks to us a lot. Just read the Bible. He tells us "make disciples of all nations, baptize them, teach them about what I've taught you, I am always with you."
They went to various countries to preach the Gospel
Your mission is summed up in these verses:Mat 28:19 Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,Mat 28:20 and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age."
In John 17:6-19 is Jesus' prayer for His disciples. In it He thanks God the Father for giving the disciples to Him to teach and prepare them to carry on the work that the Father wanted done, to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all the things that He (Jesus) commanded. Jesus did what the Father commanded and that included choosing not only James, Peter and John but the other disciples as well.
Every believer is chosen to do the work Jesus gave to believers to do: Matthew 28:19 Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:20 and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age."
He taught them so they could go and make other disciples. Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
To teach and to baptize
Well, he told the disciples to teach and to baptise all nations, (Matthew 28.19), and I guess that includes you and me!
Evangelical Christianity. The word evangelical comes from the Greek word evangelistes which means a 'messenger of good'.For evangelicals the focus is taking the message of good news as Jesus commanded.Mat 28:19 Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,Mat 28:20 and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age."
I only surmise that He taught them about themselves, what they were capable of, the reason he chose them. When they were ready he taught them His gospel and saw that they were ready to feed the other sheep that were lost. Meaning those who had not heard of Christ and His gospel. He taught them little by little, precept upon precept until they all became coverted to His gospel and were ready to go out into the world. He told them about His forthcoming death but they were to carry His words to the four corners of the earth.I would think he would teach them to be christ like. In loving and serving everyone. A life is found in losing it for the life of Christ. He taught his disciples how to love. In this, he showed them the main basis of Christianity. The thing that Christianity and Judaeism revolves around is love. He not only taught them this, but lessons on how to display the love he showed them. For it is said in the bible, in John 13:35, "By all this, all men will know you are my disciples, if you love one another."
it favored earthly riches because in the past religions you were not allowed to have riches you were to sacrifice them to your god but Jesus said you can have them because god will make you prosperous
