The Byzantine Empire
Modern Turkey was controlled by a combination of Seljuk Turks and Byzantines.
Greek independence did not weaken any empire in ancient Rome. The Romans annexed mainland Greece to their empire in 146 BC. There was no Greek independence because Greece became part of the Roman Empire.
Ottoman Empire till 1918 and Britain after that.
They sided with the Germans in World War I and after the War the Empire was left in shambles and in 1923 the Empire fell. Specifically, Great Britain and France wanted to divide the Ottoman Empire (Present day areas of Middle East). Turkey was invaded by Greece who took all of Anatolian Peninsula, soon Turkey drove out Greeks to the Turkish Republic.

Without the Persians to threaten Greece, the Greeks went back to doing what they had been doing; fighting among themselves. Sparta defeated Athens. Thebes defeated Sparta. Finally, the Macedonians from the North defeated Thebes and added all of Greece to their empire, thus forcing them to unity. Later, Greece became a province of the Roman Empire, the Eastern Roman Empire, and the Ottoman Empire before gaining its sovereignty the 19th Century.
The Young Turks abolished the OTTOMAN EMPIRE, but the Ottoman Empire was dissolving long before the Young Turk movement made the final move.

It was not. Persia was long gone before 1914. Part of the land it controlled was the Ottoman Empire, another part was independent and a third was under British rule.
Before World War I, several Balkan states gained independence from the Ottoman Empire. Notably, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, and Romania achieved independence during the Balkan Wars (1912-1913), while Bulgaria also emerged as a significant state following the same conflicts. These wars marked a crucial turning point in the region, leading to the decline of Ottoman control in the Balkans.
