He was not alone in his creative works. The Bible says that he first created his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. At Revelation 3:15 we read that Jesus was "...the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation." We also read at Colossians 1:15 that Jesus is "the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation." Being that he was the "firstborn" of all God's creation, he was the first of Jehovah's creative works.
After Jesus was created by God as his only son, he then became God's "master worker." Proverbs 8:30 says prophetically of Jesus, "Then I was by him, as a master workman; And I was daily his delight, Rejoicing always before him." Jehovah used Jesus as his "master worker" to create all things in the universe, including other spirit creatures like himself. That is why Colossians 1:16 says of Jesus, " For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through him and for him."
Even though Jesus was the "master worker," Jehovah receives the credit for the creation of all things as Genesis 1:1 says, just as an engineer or designer receives the credit for a building, even though others were used in the actual building process. Jesus receives glory as the appointed king of God's kingdom. All things were created "for him" as Colossians 1:16 says, since he now rules over creation as Jehovah's appointed king.
