Another Perspective

All countries have legal codes that determine what is right and what is wrong according to the law. Some laws are religious based but the law in most countries is written and enforced by a secular government. On the other hand, in most matters every person has the inborn ability to make that decision for herself. Some individuals listen to that little voice in their head that tells them what to do and what not to do and some choose to ignore it. We all have the capability of developing our own moral code. Some people choose not to.

Traditional Jews learn for themselves what is right and what is wrong based on Torah study. Even Modern and Liberal Jews get their ethics from Torah, though interpretations and details vary significantly.
