William Love started to build the canal in the 1890's. The public did not notice that Hooker Chemical company was dumping harmful chemicals in the site. Hooker stopped dumping wastes in the 1950's. Hope this kind of helped, it is still continuing today(By the way). There is still hazardous waste in the site.

there was no positive impacts from Love Canal it should of never happened in the first place
