The Gettysburg address was written to dedicate a cemetery to those who had lost their lives fighting for what they believed in (North) Lincoln wanted to tell the soldiers (the one who weren't dead) to win this war for the fallen victims of the bloodiest convict in American history.
The banking system helped the North to pay for the arms it bought to use in the war.
The civil war was necessary because it help sort out the trouble between the north and the south. No it was not JUST about slavery.

The second day of the US Civil War Battle of Gettysburg was the most costly one for the Confederates in this epic Civil War battle. On July 2, 1863, Union artillery batteries held the Plum Run line without any help from the infantry. Union artillery was also effective on July 3rd, as it helped disable the famous Pickett's Charge.
