This question is perspective. You cannot reasonably say the the invention of mobile computing effected one group the most; however, you can denote the difference between which fields were effected. For instance, any trade that uses a computer was likely efected by this envention. Before, they were limited in there movements by desktop pc, but now, they can rome freely while continuing there work. Contrary to this, any field which didn't use a computer, would likely not be affected by this change in mobile processing.
This being said, the laptop was one of the original forms of mobile processing. From my perspective, it most revolutionized the consumer industry by leading to ipods, blackberry's, PDA's, and all sorts of other mobile computing items small enough to fit in your pocket.
