Edwin Hubble.
The Universe is continuously expanding. The distance between galaxies increases. The amount of space in the Universe increases.
Mainly because of the redshift we see for distant objects. On average this increases with distance; that is, the further something is from us, the faster it's moving away from us. This is consistent with the universe expanding.
It was discovered by Hubble.
Edwin Hubble
Hubble observed that galaxies were moving away from each other, indicating that the universe is expanding. He discovered a relationship between a galaxy's distance from Earth and its velocity, known as Hubble's law, providing evidence for this expansion.
Not every galaxy, star, and corner of the universe has been discovered, but we have discovered the universe as a whole. ------------------------- Most likely we never will since the universe is expanding at approximately 40 miles per second.
Steven hawking
Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe was expanding in 1929 when he observed that distant galaxies were moving away from us, as indicated by their redshift in their spectral lines. This discovery led to the formulation of Hubble's law, which describes the relationship between a galaxy's distance and its velocity of recession.
The universe is expanding.
The universe is expanding, and it was recently discovered that the universe is expanding much faster than was originally thought. Also, objects within the universe are constantly changing, such as the birth and death of stars, expanding and/or contraction of gas clouds, and objects in motion (the spinning of galaxies and solar systems, rogue stars or planets) are constantly changing.

Galaxies in the expanding universe are moving away from each other at speeds proportional to their distance, with more distant galaxies moving faster. This phenomenon is known as the expansion of the universe.
