Atheists rely on themselves. They take full responsibility for their own life and they do the right thing just because it is the right thing to do not because someone told them it was the right thing to do. They think for themselves.

For technical needs they turn to and rely on science. As examples:

  • Medicine is they are sick or injured
  • Engineering if they want to build things
  • Electronics to extend their senses
  • Agriculture to grow crops

Why are there more universities established by theists compared to none by atheists?

A:The first university in the world, the Academy, was founded by Socrates, who expressed views that could be regarded as atheist rather than pagan. In modern times, atheists do not formally organise specifically as atheists, so there is no central organisation of atheists. However, atheists rely on and encourage the secular governments to set up universities. The best universities in the wolrd are these secular universities. Those universities set up by religious groups are almost always dedicated to achieving religious objectives, iand often favour the advancement of religious students in preference to non-religious applicants.

If atheists believe science created the word who created science and the big bang etc?

Atheists don't claim science created anything. Science is just the process of gathering knowledge and information based upon physical evidence and observation. Most atheists rely on science to explain how the universe works, and since science is an ongoing process of discovery, it would be unscientific to claim to have all the answers. Presently there is no consensus among scientists as to what caused the Big Bang.
