Thousands of people die every day. But by a curious coincidence, two of the Founding Fathers, signers of the Declaration of Independence, both died on July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the signing. These were Thomas Jefferson, primary author of the Declaration of Independence and 3rd President of the United States, and John Adams, 2nd President and the primary driving force for independence.
