Superboy, however was a charter member- the Legion had their doubts, as emergencies on 20Th century Earth kept him hopping, of the Legion of Super-heroes- originally hyphenated. Supergirl was also a member of the Legion. Sadly she is no longer with us. ( Supergirl, the Kara Zor-el character , was killed off in the Crisis on Infinite Worlds and has been dropped from the main lines of DC comics.
