There are twenty-one epistles in The Bible, all in the New Testament. Thirteen have been attributed to Paul, although some are clearly not genuine, having been written by other Christians after his death. Of the thirteen Pauline epistles, five, and possibly seven are regarded as having been written by the Apostle Paul. These are Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Philemon, Galatians, Philippians and 1 Thessalonians. Based on a computer analysis of the epistles attributed to Paul, A.Q. Morton believes that Philippians and 1 Thessalonians are not genuine.
Whether we accept all thirteen epistles as having been written by Paul, just the seven that most scholars attribute to him, or even the five that scholars such as Morton attribute to him, Paul clearly wrote more epistles than any other author.
Answer
Paul is clearly the author of thirteen of the Epistles: Romans, 1&2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1&2 Thessalonians, 1 &2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon. Some also attribute Hebrews to Paul.
Paul identifies himself in each of the thirteen letters as is usual when writing to someone. They are simply teaching and encouragement letters to churches he had established or was assisting, all bear his name in the greeting, all are cohesive in style, theme, content and there is no good reason to reject the authorship of Paul.
The New Testament contains a number of letters from different authors.
The most prominent, and famous, author is Paul of Tarsus, who wrote the following letters:
Romans, 1Corinthians, 2Corinthians, Galatians, Philippians, 1Thessalonians, and Philemon.
Ephesians, Colossians, 2Thessalonians, 1Timothy, 2Timothy and Titus all claim to have been written by Paul, but many scholars regard them as pseudepigraphical. That is, that they were written in the name of Paul, possibly by one of his followers, but are not actually by him.
The authorship of the other Epistles has not been established with any certainty, though they are traditionally ascribed as follows:
James - James the Just, the brother of Jesus
1Peter - The apostle Peter
2Peter - The apostle Peter
1John - The apostle John
2John - The apostle John
3John - The apostle John
Jude - Jude, the brother of Jesus
All of these have been challenged in some way or another, apart from James, which is universally thought to have been written by someone called James, though we don't know which one. The book 2Peter has been very widely challenged, and few scholars still hold that it was written by the apostle Peter. The others in the list are uncertain.
The letters in the Bible are called Epistles. Most of these letters were written by Paul. Other letters were written by John, James, and Jude.
The Apostle Paul.
St. Paul (formerly Saul of Taurus) wrote most (not all) of the letters in the Bible.
The apostle Paul wrote 14 letters to different people or congregations. James wrote 1 letter. Peter wrote 2 letters. The apostle John wrote 3 letters. And Jude wrote 1 letter. Thus there are a total of 21 letters in the Bible.
He was writting the letters to the Church in Corinth, and they would have been persecuted for their faith, so he wrote in secret.
There is no book of Paul in the Bible. Paul wrote letters or epistles.
St. Paul the Apostle is credited for writing the epistles.
It is believed that Nahum wrote the book of Nahum in the bible. Some people believe it was someone else.
When the bible was written there were no church buildings, churches were groups of Christan believers and Paul wrote letters to these 'churches'.
Paul was the most prolific of the New Testament writers.
