C.S. Lewis' wardrobe in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" leads to the magical land of Narnia.
In the book The Magician's Nephew the land of Narnia is created by Aslan. One of the main characters brings back an apple from Narnia to cure his mother of disease and plants the seeds which grow into a beautiful apple tree. Later on the boy become man, the Professor in The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, and made the wardrobe from the wood of the tree.
In "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," the border between Narnia and the outside world is marked by the lamp-post in the forest. Exiting through the wardrobe takes you back to the outside world.
