Caesar did not actually have to escape Sulla's soldiers. Sulla stripped him of the priesthood he was holding, his inheritance and his wife's dowry. He also wanted him to divorce his wife, but he refused. His mother's family, which included supporters of Sulla, persuaded Sulla not to pursue this. However, Caesar still did not feel safe because he belonged to the political faction opposed to Sulla and left Rome. He went to Greece and joined the army there.
It is not known for certain where she went, but it is though that she at first went to the area in Egypt called the Thebiad which is around the city of Thebes in southern Egypt. However when Caesar sent for her she was supposed to have been trying to raise an army on the Syrian border which is in far northern Egypt. From what little we know, it looks as if she at first went to southern Egypt and then made her way back up north.
Chained to a rock in the mountains, where an eagle (some say a vulture) came every day and gnawed his liver. This went on for 30 years until the hero Hercules slew the bird, ending Prometheus's torment.
Caesar and Pompey clashed and went to war
None. You're getting your triumvirates confused. Julius Caesar, a member of the first triumvirate, became dictator for life. As far as the second triumvirate went, Octavian was the one who won out and became emperor, which was sort of a dictatorship, although not in the strict sense of the word.None. Jiulius Caesar fought a civil war against his opponents led by Pompey. Caesar pursued Pompey to Egypt, and the latter was murdered there. He then fought the king of Pontus (in Turkey, on the SE shore of the Black sea). After that he went to north Africa to fight more opposition forces. He then returned to Rome, but Pompey's son fled to Spain. Caesar went there to fight the remnants of the opposition, defeating them at the battle of Munda.
After Julius Caesar was assassinated Rome went in to another civil war. Octavius and Marc Anthony fought for control of the country.
The demise of the first triumvirate helped cause the end of the republic because after the death of Crassus, Caesar and Pompey had a political split with Pompey being commissioned by the senate to defend Rome against Caesar who had started the civil war by marching into Italy. The civil war ended with Caesar the victor and being made dictator which was an office that suspended all normal politics for as long as the dictator was in power. Caesar was in power for life, so there went the republic.
There was not just one man. There were many prominent people who took up this cause over the years: the Gracchi brothers, Gaius Marius, Lucius Appuleius Saturninus, Lucius Cornelius Cinna, Publius Clodius Pulcher, and Julius Caesar. During the First Triumvirate, Marcus Licinius Crassus and Pompey the Great sided with the populares, even though they had fought with the opposition party (the optimates) during the civil wars. Pompey then went back to the optimates after the triumvirate.
Caesar fought against the Gauls of the Atlantic coast, including the Veneti, who lived around the Gulf of Morbihan. He defeated them with a victory in a naval battle Quiberon Bay. It is not know where else in Brittany Caesar went.
After the assassination of Julius Caesar power was given to Marc Antony, Octavian and Lepidus in what historians call the Second Triumvirate. They fought a civil war against Brutus and Cassius, the leaders of the plot to assassinate Caesar. After that there were more civil wars. Mark Antony took charge of the eastern part of the empire and Octavian took charge of the western part. There was a one last civil war between these two men. Octavian won and went on to become the first Roman emperor. Historians use the name Augustus for the period when he was the emperor.

The later triumvirate comprising Aemilius Lepidus, Octavius Caesar and Marcus Antonius gathered at Antony's house to mark the names of all those supporting the Group of Conspirators, whom they find fit for Black sentence (exile) and proscription (death). Then they went ahead to execute their resolution to revenge Caesar's death. They began a list of men who would be put to death for treason against Rome.
Well after Caesar rejected Cleopatra's son as his own; he went on to do great things in Rome. He gave the landless land, he gave the Italians government rights, he expanded Rome, and he even reformed the Calender (which is the same calendar we use today) However, there was one problem------ the Senate. The senate wanted the Republic to be the way it used to be, and Caesar was slowly becoming the dictator for life. So one day Caesar went to the senate to approve this new law, but when he got there--- the senate(s) grabbed their knives and stabbed him multiple times. To top it all off, Ceaser's best friend (Brutus) stabbed him last in the gut and ended Ceasar's life. With a loud cry and a tear on his cheek, Caesar said: "Not you too, Brutus!" Caesar then died. :'( Anyway, after this Caesar's adopted son, Octavian teamed up with Caesar's right-hand man Marc Antony and Marcus Lepidus. Together they took down Brutus in a civil war. Thus this started the 2nd Triumvirate. Octavian got the vast north, Antony got the vast east, and Lepidus got Africa. This was the 2nd Triumvirate. I hope this helped a lot of people out there. If you want to know how did the 2nd Triumvirate end..... well then ask it on answers.com :D CYA! Mike2896 :P
Before the breakup of the triumvirate, the senate went along with the two consuls, Crassus and Pompey. There was no visible conflict at the time.
