Thereafter Percy moves into Hermes cabin under the care of Luke During a capture the flag game Percy is attacked by the children of Ares. He finds out he heals when he steps into water and reveals as the son of Poseidon. Later on Percy is then granted a quest to find Zeus's master bolt which Chiron believes Hades stole it. However Zeus who discoverers Poseidon had broken his oath believes Poseidon had Percy stole it. Now Percy has 10 days to find the bolt or else there will be a war. He flees from the underworld but forced to leave his mother behind. Percy then fights and defeats Ares and gives Percy the Helm of Darkness which Percy returns to Hades. Percy reaches New York City and gives the master bolt to Zeus at the top of the Empire State Building. Percy returns to camp and meets Luke that he stole the lightning bolt for Kronos. He calls out a poisonous scorpion which stings and almost kills Percy. Chiron cures him and Percy leaves to attend another school found by his mother.
Luke, the son of Hermes steals the lightning bolt. He is then found by Ares were Luke convinces him to take it himself. Ares then gives it to Percy disguised as a bag.
That back pack, at first, had supplies and stuff (clothes, double stuf oreos, etc.), but It was really a magic backpack. I really don't wanna spoil the book, so just read the rest to find out more.
2 reasons. 1. amphibians are a step in evolution between water dwelling animals and land dwelling animals. 2. in many cases, this gives the amphibian an advantage that helps them survive. An amphibian can escape land predators by jumping in the water, and can escape water predators by going on land. This also gives them more area they can look for food, allows them to move from one body of water to another, etc.

In the book The Lightning Thief, the kids don't actually need to search for the pearls; a naiad gives them to Percy. But in the movie, they are called Persephone's Pearls, and they are hidden in monuments across the country. When you crush the pearl, it transports you from the underworld to the normal world.
The spirit in the sea is Nereid They are like except that Naiads are fresh water spirits and Nereids are the spirits in the sea. She doesn't have a name. She gives Percy three beads that will take them back to the world of the living when they need to return from the Underworld.
In the - parthenon(tennesse, not greece) the lotus hotel and casino( the place where time is REALLY slow) on a roulette table Aunty Ems gardeb gnome emporium( medusa's layer) on medusa's ring.
This happens in the book only. Percy meets the woman in the water twice. The first time, he had just fallen into the river below the St. Louis Arch, and she came and said that his father requested for him to go to Santa Monica Bay. When he arrives at the bay, despite Annabeth's warnings, he goes under and finds the woman again. This time, she gives him pearls. These provide a quick escape from the underworld.

First, no one knows who Percy's godly parent is until after the game of capture the flag. Next, in the game, Percy and Annabeth are on the same team. Percy doesn't get the flag. Percy is a pawn in Annabeth's strategy; she puts him in the center of the area, alone, so that Clarisse, daughter of Ares and recently humiliated by Percy via toilet water, will focus on getting revenge rather than playing the game. Luke does give Percy the shoes, but no map. The whole thing involving the Parthenon in Tenn. is not in the book. As they travel across the country, they're not looking for pearls, they are simply trying to get to L.A. They do defeat Medusa and encounter the Lotus Eaters. They also encounter Ares who has them retrieve his shield in exchange for help. He helps them by giving them cash, and fresh clothing in a blue nylon backpack. When they arrive in LA, Percy receives the pearls from a helpful sea spirit/goddess/something. They pay Charon, the ferryman, to get into the Underworld. Once there, they befriend Cerberus in order to get past him. But then, the flying shoes Luke gave Percy, who then gave them to Grover because he wasn't allowed to wear them, started dragging Grover towards the deepest part of the Underworld, Tartarus. Grover, Percy, and Annabeth eventually get the shoes off and they fly into the pit. As it turns out, Luke was helping Cronos, the king of the Titans. The shoes were supposed to drag Percy to his death. You think you can trust a guy. So anyway, they then confront Hades and find that his Helm of Darkness (godly thing) is also missing and that the backpack was a trick. When Percy entered the Underworld, the masterbolt appeared in it. Percy then swears to find Hades's Helm and the three of them use the pearls to escape. When they make landfall, the pearls don't take them just anywhere, only straight up, just off the coast of California, Ares confronts them and Percy and Ares fight. Percy wins and Ares runs off, leaving the Helm. The Furies, Mrs. Dodds included, arrive and Percy gives them the Helm. Percy then flies back to New York, like, on a plane, and goes to Mount Olympus. Olympus is accessed by an elevator, not a door on the roof. Then, Percy finds his mother at home (Hades released her after his Helm was returned) and gives her the head of medusa, which she uses on Gabe at another time. He goes back to Camp and sees Luke. They go out into the forest for a couple Cokes and Luke betrays him again making a scorpion sting him. Luke then leaves. Percy is found by Annabeth and Chiron and, thus, survives.
It means that he thinks you would like nice with pearls on.

Chiron didn't let Percy into the Underworld. In the first book when Percy ran away from Camp Half-Blood, and went through his journey, he stopped, looked at hieroglyphics, and the door to the Underworld opened.

Percy battles Ares and finds out that he tricked all the gods into a war, which he will benefit from. The Furies watched the battle and returned the Helm of Darkness to Hades. The master bolt was returned to Zeus. Gabe is turned into a statue and sold.
