The southern states thought they had a good reason with the issue of states rights. Lincoln's reason was to keep the union together. He didn't want war, but he wasn't given a choice after Ft. Sumter.
To keep the North and the South together.......
North Korea attacked South Korea.
The North had a better rail system then the north, The south used more rivers then rails in the civil war
The North.
The North :o ~Miss Anonymous
the war was also called the forgotten war
They are run by two different types of government, and that of South Korea feels threatened by that of the North for that reason.
During the Civil War the North had better manufacturing abilities. The superior industries was one reason the North finally won the war.
The North had a greater population and more industry as well as better weapons the south however had more knowledge of the land due to the fact that more battles were fought in the south, better generals, and also the south were fighting for their way of life. note: the last reason isn't necessarily a military reason so much as it is more speculation that they had more drive because of it.
The communist superpowers supported the north with war material. The US supported the south with men & material. Reason: Cold War.
The north had more men better factories, plus they had more railroads and better agriculture
