I believe Elvis and The Beatles were both pretty even in the amount of fans they had. But The Beatles had four members of the band rather than Elvis, therefore attracting more people of the time since everyone had their "favorite of The Fab Four". Since Elvis and the Beatles were both the beginning of real music, I think it's fair to say history can't record which bands were more popular.
The Beatles: 265 million records sold - 20 number 1 singles - 19 number 1 albums
Elvis: 210 million records sold - 18 number 1 singles - 11 number 1 albums
Nope
Elvis Presley recorded more than 665 songs and The Beatles have recorded over a little over 214 songs so the king has recorded more than the beatles
Elvis Presley recorded more albums, though most of the later ones were movie soundtracks.
Both were very popular singers, but I think Sinatra was a little more popular.
Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley. He revolutionized popular music. Justin Bieber is just an icon of this (and maybe next) decade.
