The Scottish Youth Parliament have their own website, which lists their achievements and activities in more detail. Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament use the abbreviation MSYP, and according to the website, their structure is as follows: "We have at least two elected Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs) per Scottish Parliamentary constituency, with another 50 from national voluntary organisations."

She was first elected as the SNP Member of Parliament for Hamilton in 1967, then as a Member of the European Parliament for the Highlands and Islands in 1979, and finally as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Highlands and Islands in 1999.
When Bishop G.E. Patterson (his predecessor) died on March 20, 2007, Bishop Blake assumed the office of Presiding Bishop. But then in November of 2008, he was formally elected as Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ, therefore succeeding Bishop Patterson as the presiding bishop. So, in a short answer, he was elected in November of 2008.
