The custody would be split, generally, between the parents. Usually the child's major home would be with the mother with adequate time with the father. However, if the father is exceptionally bad, such as a known convict, spent jail time, known to not hold down a job, drugs, etc, there would be less custody for him. Same with the mother, and if she is any of those things, the father would have the majority of the custody.
If the two parents can not compromise on custody issues, then it is advisable they seek a court ruling.
Generally, in the United States, an unmarried mother has sole custody of her child until the father has established his paternity in court. When he does establish his paternity he can request custody, visitations and a child support order can be entered.
The father must establish his paternity legally in the family court. He can then petition for joint custody and a visitation schedule. Generally, if the child remains in the physical custody of the mother the court will enter a child support order.
Both parents, until a judge determines otherwise.
You are stupid to have a kid while not married. The child as the bible says is a "bastard" child. SO WAS JESUS AND HE TURNED OUT ALRIGHT.
mother until ruled on otherwise by the court. see my profile
In the US, no, you can't gain custody merely because you don't like your ex's new boyfriend/girlfriend. However if that boyfriend/girlfriend is unfit/ presents a danger to the child, that's a totally different situation.
sure but if you want to see your child that you worked for try to get custy of her or him

As unfortunate as this may be it is possible for the father to get custody of the baby, but not full custody unless the mother is proven unfit. Because reguardless of what happened between the couple the father is still the father of the child, and the father still has his rights as a father to be a part of his child's life.
No, there are no laws in Virginia that makes it illegal for a custodial parent to live with their boyfriend or girlfriend. If you feel you child is unsafe in this situation, you will have to pursue custody through the courts.
I assume that the "ex-boyfriend" is also the father of the child. If you believe that he lied to gain custody, you can file a motion/petition for a custody re-hearing and be prepared to demonstrate that he lied, and that you are a 'fit' mother to have custody of the child.
None. The boyfriend has no legal rights whatsoever.
well u can get custody of the child
If the mom has custody. If they have to split custody then no she doesn't.
Meet the child's boyfriend/girlfriend and be a good parent.
