Mohammed had Apostles, called the Sahaba, who accompanied him, fought alongside him, preached with him, and sat on councils with him. It was these Apostles like Omar, Salman the Persian, Abu Bakr, 'Ali, etc. who helped Mohammed bring Islam to the Arabians, and after his death, to the Middle Eastern and North African community at large.
