The Prophets or messengers of Allah (God). They spread the message of Allah to a specific group of people in a specific area. God had selected each messenger by their character. The one he sees fit was the one who became the messenger. The messenger doesn't have anything to do with getting powers and such. They are human. However, some do receive miracles given by God.
