In the garden of Gethsemane Judas said nothing to Jesus, but had told the guards that the man that he kisses on the cheek is to be arressted. Jesus replied to Judas after the kiss, "You betray the Son of Man with a kiss?"
In Gethsemane, soldiers identified Jesus through Judas Iscariot, who had agreed to betray Him. Judas had arranged a signal, stating that he would identify Jesus by greeting Him with a kiss. This act of betrayal led to Jesus being arrested by the soldiers sent by the chief priests and elders.
