The United States Senate
The House of Representatives. The Senate are then needed to approve the impeachment.
If the U.S. House of Representatives impeaches an individual, the U.S. Senate holds a trial to determine if the individual will be removed from office. So, the House impeaches (or does not impeach) and the Senate removes (or does not remove) an impeached person from office.
In the case of US presidents, The House impeaches, and the Senate tries the case.
Legislative branch. Hose impeaches, Senate tries the charges.
The House of Representatives has the power to pass a bill of impeachment which causes the Senate to hold a trial based on the charges in the bill.
The United States Congress has this responsibility; the House of Representatives Impeaches, and the Senate convicts.
The Senate tries impeachment trials. Upon conviction, a public official will be removed from office and barred in the future, but no criminal charges result from an impeachment trial.
According to the constitution, the House of Representatives has the power to impeach federal officials (even the president). The Senate acts as the jury, and (in presidential cases) the Chief Justice acts as the judge.
Well Washington was into apples cause he chopped down the cherry tree. Carter was into peanuts. I know of no president that was impeaches. It would be rather syrupy and stickyto actually be impeaches.
