Germany invaded Ethiopia
In the 1930s Ethiopia, then Abyssinia was invaded by Italy, which was part of the Axis. Therefore by definition Ethiopia was Allied.
Mussolini and the Italian Army invaded Ethiopia (it had a different name at the time) because he wanted their oil and so did Adolph Hitler. Mussolini had imperialist asperations too.
Japan invaded China and massacred over 200,000 civilians. Italy invaded Ethiopia. Germany took Austria, Czechoslovakia, and split Poland with Russia.
The most relevant countries invaded in the 1930s included: China, Ethiopia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Spain (via the Civil War), and Albania. While not technically invaded, both Czechoslovakia and Austria were annexed by the Third Reich under threat of invasion.

the significance of each of these, was that they each struggled immensly. Japan was becoming overpopulated and wanted to expand, so in 1931 the Japanese army invaded Manchuria. In 1935, Italy invaded Ethiopia. And, with the defeat from the Spanish Civil War, Spain was now under the control of a Fascist dictator. So each of these countries were invaded/taken over.
