WordStar was created in 1978.
They invented the WordStar word processor. A very popular software in the 70's and 80's.

There's no reason why not - provided you use version 4.0 or higher. Wordstar was originally developed under the CP/M operating system - and later migrated to MS-DOS. I remember using Wordstar 5 on a training course many years ago !

WordStar is a word processing program and not an operating system. The WordStar program is most likely a TUI since it is a text based software vs. GUI which is graphic based.
