George Eastman marketed the first roll of flexible photographic film, Eastman Negative Paper, in 1884 which was a coating on a paper base. It was called "stripping film" because the paper backing had to be stripped off during processing. Eastman American Film was introduced in 1885, the first transparent photographic film, "celluloid film" or "nitrate film". Reverend Hannibal Goodwin invented a roll film with a transparent backing that was more flexible and the Eastman company acquired this film in 1889.
Some glues dry transparent and some do not .If it dries white or any other color it usually says so on the label.
The correct procedure for photo processing is to soak the film in developing fluid inside of a dark room. After taking the film from soaking it is dried and placed into a machine that projects the iamge onto the paper. After the image is burnt onto the paper, that paper is moved into a bath of developing fluid into the picture appears. Then they are hung to dry.
A person will need to mirror the photo on the computer and glue the photo face down onto the metal. Next, the photo will need to dry, and then wet the photo to remove it from the meta.
