The Fushigi ball was 'invented' by a businessman named John Camaranno. He saw a video of contact juggling on YouTube, and decided he could make tonnes of money by making a contact juggling ball and selling it via infomercial. His company, ZoomTV Products, has created several products in the past "the Tap-light, the talking wall fish, and other as-seen-on-tv products.
Contact Juggling, on the other hand, was invented in the 80's by physical artist Michael Moschen. He received the MacArthur genius grant for his work, and he is very vocal about other people 'stealing' his act and performing the same techniques.

Fushigi is a ball that is light weight. So with that being said fushigi is so light it floats like a feather. *new person* FUSHIGI IS NOT LIGHT except for the mini balls, if you get one and drop it you actually hear a loud THUD, Fushigi actually is an illusion, you can make it look as if it moves, when actually you move, you could actually do this with any ball, but Fushigi has no marks to tell if its moving or not. it does take a lot of practice.
Somewhere
Any round ball can be made to work like a Fushigi. A baseball, a lacrosse ball (recommended) or even an orange can be used to do all the tricks you can do with a Fushigi (and it won't be any harder to learn). (or...) A fushigi ball is a solid chrome ball surrounded by a layer of polycarbonate. Unless you have a solid chrome ball and some melted polycarbonate then you should stick to the basics. Take an old tennis ball and cut a slit in it then take a heavier ball and stick it inside. Hot glue the slit together then......viola! your own home made fushigi!
