I so heard it was invented by a Puertorrican man in New York. He had worked on his car and wanted it to look different so he cut the chassis and made it longer. This man never got a patent for his idea and had no clue he had been the spearhead of the limo invention. There is no recorded name as to who this man is or was. I would suggest an investigation take place in the New York area to finally give credit to whoever deserves it. I cannot state as a fact that my version is true. I got this information from some 4 people that lived in the NY area and that is the way their story goes more or less. As I understand the first reported limo appeared in Arkansas but the clever man lived in NY.
