A variety of different vehicles have been used as USPS vehicles. The standard Carrier Route Vehicle (CRV) has been the Chevrolet-Grumman Long-Life Vehicle since 1987, and more recently the contract went to the Ford Flex-Fuel Van. The first gasoline powered vehicle used by the USPS was contracted 1 October 1906 in Baltimore, Maryland. The unidentified photo on the USPS site appears to be a 1906 Rambler 19, with some modifications.
