the person who discovered onions was a farmer from Naples called PHILLIP ONIONDO, he discovered the vegetable in 1463 and it was first thought to be a poison and used to kill any unwanted vermin. its now thought as one of the most used vegetables in the world

Man has eaten vegetables from the moment they found that they could be eaten. The first people were hunter/gatherers and that means they looked for foods they could eat. Wild onion and other vegetables were found and added to the diet.
