Who made Cucamonga famous?
Cucamonga has fairly rich history. It started as land grant in 1839 to Tiburcio Tapia from land belonging to the Mission Gabriel. Casa de Rancho Cucamonga became known as Cucamonga and lying between Los Angeles and Riverside was on the rail route. In 1950 Mel Blanc introduced his famous call "Train leaving on Track 5 for Anaheim, Azusa and Cuuuu-ca-mon-gaaa!" in the Jack Benny Show. The call then followed Blanc into the world of cartoons.

What happens in wicked?
The musical 'Wicked' is the untold story of the witches of Oz. At the beginning of the musical (song: No One Mourns the Wicked), a married lady has an affair with another man, and Elphaba (the wicked witch of the west) is born. However, everyone is shocked and frightened because she is born with green skin. Elphaba's mother dies in childbirth when she gives birth for the second time, to Nessarose (this time the baby was of the husband's, so Nessa and Elphaba are actually half-sisters). Nessarose is in a wheelchair because her mother wanted to make sure Nessa wasn't green too, so she chewed and chewed and chewed this plant that would make sure she wasn't green, but the plant caused Nessa to be born premature, so her legs weren't strong enough.Anyway, the beginning of the story is when Elphaba arrives at Shiz university (Song: Dear old shiz) and everybody is frightened of her because of her skin. She meets a girl named Galinda (later known as Glinda) who is spoilt, unkind, self-centred and most of all, very popular. Galinda and Elphaba hate each other as soon as they meet each other (song: What is This Feeling?). The two girls are also put together in a room, making both of them loathe the other even more, and when Elphaba becomes extremely angry with her, her magical powers accidentally burst out of controll. The headmistress, Madame Morrible sees this, and when Elphaba apoligises, becoming panicked that she will be expelled for her actions, Madame Morrible congratulates her and is awed at such magic that Elphaba posseses. Morrible declares that she will write to the Wonderful Wizard of Oz immediately, telling him of the student's powers. She also tells Elphaba that the Wizard could make her his 'Magic Grand Vizier'. Elphaba realises that she has a rare talent and that she must cherish and practice it. (Song: The Wizard and I)In one of her lessons, Elphaba meets Dr Dillamond. Dr Dillamond is half goat, half human. Many of the other students take the micky out of the professor, but Elphaba feels sorry for him. Galinda gets very annoyed with him because he can not say her name correctly (he says 'Gllinda' as apposed to 'Galinda' so after the lesson, she goes and talks to him. He tells her that something bad is happening to the animals of Oz, that they are no longer permitted to teach, or even speak. Elphaba reassures him that nothing all that bad is going to happen if they tell the Wizard. (Song: Something Bad)Later on, she meets Fiyero (pronounced fee-air-o). Fiyero is a lot like Galinda: stubborn, self-centered, popular - and extremely gorgous. Galinda and Fiyero meet and they fall in love. They decide to go to a party that night and Elphaba and the other students come along too. (Song: Dancing Through Life) A munchkin named Boq asks Galinda to dance with him, but she's truly bessoted with Fiyero, so she introduces Nessarose to him and exaggerates how sorry she feels for Nessa, being in a wheelchair. Galinda tells Boq that he would be her hero if he invited her so that she could for once in her life have a fun night. Boq then talks to Nessa and asks her out. Nessa falls in love with him - but Boq still loves Galinda.Later on, at the party, Elphaba turns up and starts dancing (well, trying to dance, since everyone in the ballroom is just staring at her because of her weird skin - and hilariously awful dancing). Galinda goes over to her and shows her how to do it. they begin to dance together and become friends.After the party Galinda attemts to make her new friend 'popular' by giving her a makeover. Elphaba (or Elphie, as Galinda begins to call her) is uncomfortable with this, but Galinda assures her that it will work. (Song: Popular)The next day, in lessons, Fiyero sees Elphaba with her makeover. He is shocked, and says that she has been 'Galindafyed'. He tells her that she doesn't have to do that. Embarresed, Elphaba takes the flower out of her hair and attempts to put herself back to normal. In the lesson, Elphaba and Fiyero discover that Dr Dillamond has been replaced, and they have a monstruos teacher who brings in a lion cub in a cage. When he is just about to start torturing it, Elphaba and Fiyero snatch the cage and run out of the University grounds, planning to set it free. They are panicking, and when Fiyero decides to go back and get help, Elphaba grabs his hand and tells him not to. They both realise that they are holding hands and they stare at each other for a moment. Fiyero, embarresed, says that he has to go, and he leaves Elphaba to find her way back. Elphaba discovers that she has fallen in love with him, and is sad because they can't be together. (Song:I'm Not That Girl)Madame Morrible tells Elphaba that she has had word from the Wizard, and that he says he would most like to meet her. Elphaba and Glinda (now 'Glinda', not 'Gaaalinda', in memory of Dr Dillamond who couldn't say the 'Gaaa' bit in her name) go to the Emerald City to see the Great Oz. They find the Wizard and dicover that, under all of his fine words and his marvellous reputation, he is a coward, and that he wants to use Elphaba's magic for his own ends. They also dicover that he is keeping monkeys with wings trapped in a cage - like Dr Dillamond had said. Elphaba and Glinda run away, with the Wizard's men chasing after them. Elphaba tries to perform a levitation spell so that she and Glinda can fly away. She produces a magic broom and asks Glinda to fly away with her on it, but Glinda is scared, and wishes her luck. Elphaba flys away, leaving the land of Oz terror stricken by 'The Wicked Witch of the West'. (Song: Defying Gravity)Interval(Song: No One Mourns the Wicked (reprise)) Glinda's name is cleared and she pretends to be against Elphaba, saying that she is wicked. Glinda and Morrible hold a press conference to announce Glinda's surprise engagement to Fiyero aswell - which Fiyero doesn't know about. Rumour has spread like wildfire in Oz, with people believing things about Elphaba like 'her soul is so unclean clear water can melt her'. Fiyero is upset and angry by these comments, and it becomes clear that he has fallen in love with her also.Meanwhile, Elphaba goes to seek refuge at the Govorner's Residence where Nessarose is, and finds that Nessa's father has died, and she has enslaved all of the munchkins (including Boq) into service to her. Nessarose critisizes Elphaba, saying that she should have used her powers to help her body be stronger. Guilty, Elphaba enchants Nessarose's ruby-red slippers, enabling her to walk. Boq, Nessarose's servant, is summoned and reveals that his affection for Nessarose was not real and his heart lies with Glinda. Furious, Nessarose casts a spell causing Boqs heart to shrink. In an attempt to save him, Elphaba accidentally turns his body to metal, making him the Tin Woodman. Horrified, Nessa lays the blame on Elphaba.Elphaba returns to the Wizard's palace in order to free the rest of the winged monkeys. The Wizard attempts to regain her favor by agreeing to set them free (song: Wonderful). After discovering a now-speechless Doctor Dillamond imprisoned among the monkeys, Elphaba rejects his offer and attempts to escape, but runs into Fiyero and Glinda. Fiyero tells Elphaba that his is in love with her, and she tells him the same. They run off together, and Glinda is heartbroken (song: I'm Not That Girl (reprise)). In an attempt to capture Elphaba once and for all, Madame Morrible decides to create a cyclone that will endanger Nessarose.In a dark forest, Fiyero and Elphaba express their love (song: As Long As Your Mine), but Elphaba senses that her sister is in danger, and flies away to help. She gets there too late though, arriving to find Nessarose crushed underneath a house and just as Glinda sends Dorothy and Toto_(dog) off along the Yellow_Brick_Road. The palace guards capture Elphaba, but Fiyero intervenes and allows Elphaba to escape before surrendering himself. The guards tie him to a wooden post, leaving him in the middle of a cornfeild to be tortured for information. Elphaba desparately tries to cast any spell that could save Fiyero (song: No Good Deed), but, thinking that she cannot save him, she begins to accept her reputation as 'Wicked'.Meanwhile, the Citizens of Oz and Boq prepare a witch-hunt ("March of the Witch Hunters"). Seeing this, Glinda travels to Elphaba's castle to persuade her to let Dorothy go, but Elphaba refuses. She makes Glinda promise not to clear her name and to take charge in Oz, and the two confirm a true friendship (song: For Good). As the mob arrives at the castle, Dorothy runs in and throws a bucket of water on Elphaba, melting her. Glinda, unsure of what has happened, sees that all that remains of her friend is her black hat and elixir vial. After mourning Elphaba's death, Glinda takes the elixir vial to the Wizard, revealing the fact that he is Elphaba's father after having had an affair with her mother. Glinda tells the Wizard to leave Oz in his balloon and sends Madame Morrible to prison.Fiyero, whom Elphaba had in fact managed to save by turning him into the scarecrow, opens a trapdoor in Elphaba's castle. Elphaba, very much alive, emerges, revealing that the melting was just an act and the two are happily reunited. What is the summary of 'wicked'?
It's about a girl named Elphaba who turned green from an elixir that her mother drank (That the wizard gave her) and on accident she became pregnant with Elphaba. Then her sister Nessa when her mother was pregnant her father made her chew on Milkweed so that Nessa wasn't green like her sister. Many years later. . they arrive at Shiz academy where Elphaba goes to take care of Nessa, and to go to school. Then Galinda (Ga-lin-da) On accident she gets the same dormitory as Elphaba. They become great friends but then she goes to the wizard and the wizard make her turn helpless animals into flying monkeys! Then one of the monkeys was her professor that she loved that was a goat Dr.Dillamond!She went away from the angry guards after her Did I mention she was with Glinda! And they got into the janitors room and Elphaba made one of the brooms fly and she told Galinda to go with her.And also be on the dark side of oz but glinda said no. So Glinda goes to the wizard again and figures out that she's his daughter! but she told him their was one catch. . . He had to let the monkeys free! so he did and Fiyero was married to Glinda and elphaba stole him away from her and so another guy Boq is with nessa and nessa does a spell on boq that made his heart shrink . . . and elphaba turned him into a tin man!!!!! Then later on accident she turned Fiyero into a Scarecrow with these a words:Elekamn tum a tum melikaman. and then her sister falls dead from Dorothy and the cyclone and she gets the red shoes then elphaba and Glinda slap each other and then fiyero and elphaba when they think the witch dies, she doesn't. Boq, Nessarose's servant, is summoned and reveals that his affection for Nessarose was not real and his heart lies with Glinda. Furious, Nessarose casts a spell causing Boqs heart to shrink. In an attempt to save him, Elphaba accidentally turns his body to metal, making him the Tin Woodman. Horrified, Nessa lays the blame on Elphaba.Elphaba returns to the Wizard's palace in order to free the rest of the winged monkeys. The Wizard attempts to regain her favor by agreeing to set them free (song: Wonderful). After discovering a now-speechless Doctor Dillamond imprisoned among the monkeys, Elphaba rejects his offer and attempts to escape, but runs into Fiyero and Glinda. Fiyero tells Elphaba that his is in love with her, and she tells him the same. They run off together, and Glinda is heartbroken (song: I'm Not That Girl (reprise)). In an attempt to capture Elphaba once and for all, Madame Morrible decides to create a cyclone that will endanger Nessarose.In a dark forest, Fiyero and Elphaba express their love (song: As Long As Your Mine), but Elphaba senses that her sister is in danger, and flies away to help. She gets there too late though, arriving to find Nessarose crushed underneath a house and just as Glinda sends Dorothy and Toto off along the yellow brick road. The palace guards capture Elphaba, but Fiyero intervenes and allows Elphaba to escape before surrendering himself. The guards tie him to a wooden post, leaving him in the middle of a cornfeild to be tortured for information. Elphaba desparately tries to cast any spell that could save Fiyero (song: No Good Deed), but, thinking that she cannot save him, she begins to accept her reputation as 'Wicked'.Meanwhile, the Citizens of Oz and Boq prepare a witch-hunt ("March of the Witch Hunters"). Seeing this, Glinda travels to Elphaba's castle to persuade her to let Dorothy go, but Elphaba refuses. She makes Glinda promise not to clear her name and to take charge in Oz, and the two confirm a true friendship (song: For Good). As the mob arrives at the castle, Dorothy runs in and throws a bucket of water on Elphaba, melting her. Glinda, unsure of what has happened, sees that all that remains of her friend is her black hat and elixir vial. After mourning Elphaba's death, Glinda takes the elixir vial to the Wizard, revealing the fact that he is Elphaba's father after having had an affair with her mother. Glinda tells the Wizard to leave Oz in his balloon and sends Madame Morrible to prison.Fiyero, whom Elphaba had in fact managed to save by turning him into the scarecrow, opens a trapdoor in Elphaba's castle. Elphaba, very much alive, emerges, revealing that the melting was just an act and the two are happily reunited. The two lovers escape Oz and run away to a far-away land to be together, and Glinda is left in charge of the Land of Oz.Curtain FallsHappy reading :)
