Vladimir Lenin was the leader of the Bolsheviks, but he was not the leader of the entire Russian Revolution. The Russian Revolution consisted of two revolutions, the February Revolution and the October Revolution. The February Revolution was a spontaneous mass demonstration and general strike by the people of Russia who were complaining about conditions in Russia under Tsar Nicholas II. Tsar Nicholas II abdicated the throne while Lenin was in Switzerland. Lenin had no part in it. As to the October Revolution, Lenin organized and directed it as an armed insurrection by military forces put together by him and the Bolshevik party.

Who was a leader and a hero of the Russian Revolution Lenin Stalin or Marx?
Lenin was the leader and hero of the October Revolution of 1917, but had nothing to do with the February Revolution in 1917. Stalin was a subordinate to Lenin at the time so he was not a leader at all. Karl Marx had died by the time of the revolution, so aside from planting the ideas of socialism, communism and a revolt by the people in their minds, he had nothing to do with the revolution itself. well this is helpfull

Who was the leader of Russia during the Russian Revolution?
Nicolas II was the leader of Russia during the February Revolution of 1917. That revolution began as general riots and demonstrations in several cities. Those riots did not stop until Nicholas stepped down on March 15, 1917. Thus, Tsar Nicholas II was the leader of Russia during the February Revolution because the February Revolution did not end until after the abdication. Alexander Kerensky was the leader of Russia's Provisional Government during the October Revolution. Vladimir Lenin and the Bolsheviks staged their coup on October 24, 1917. Kerensky tried to rally Petrograd's garrison to quell the Bolshevik uprising, but it refused to back him. He also ordered Russian army generals to help, but they couldn't do anything in time and Kerensky was forced to flee the country. The October Revolution did not end (even though it was only about 2 days long) until Kerensky and the Provisional Government were overthrown. Thus Kerensky and the Provisional Government led Russia during the October Revolution.
