Seema Azmi started her acting career with eminent Theatre director Arvind Gaur.She joined Asmita theatre group, Delhi in 1996. Seema Azmi's Major plays with Arvind Gaur are Girish Karnad's Rakt Kalyan( Taledanda),Dario fo's operation three star (an adaptation of Dario Fo's play Accidental Death of an Anarchist), Mahesh Dattani's Final Solutions, Ashok Lal's Ek Mamooli Aadmi, Swadesh Deepak's Court Martaial etc.In Asmita Theatre group her co-actors were Deepak Dobriyal ( Filmfare award for Omkara film latest movie Shoriya), Piyush Mishra (Dil Se & Jhoom Barabar Jhoom Fame), Manu Rishi ( Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, Mithyya), Rajesh Bagotra (Parjania), Poonam Girdhani, Waseem Khan (reporter Chak de India ) & Hasim Haider etc. After Working with Asmita She Joined National School of Drama (NSD),Delhi.She complete her training (2001)and She was selected for NSD Repertory Company headed by theatre director Suresh Sharma In NSD Repertory Company Seema worked with eminent Theatre directors of India. She is still doing theatre. Presently it is 'Wedding Album' written by Girish Karnad and directed by Lillete Dubey.
