Emmanuel Ifeajuna was a major in the Nigerian army who was the the leader of the first Nigerian military coup de tat on January 15th 1966, the group was notorious for killing prime minister Tafawa Belawa, sarduana of sokoto (Ahmadu Bello), Premier of western Nigeria (Akintola) and finance minister (okotie Eboh), this was partly the incident that led to the Biafran War in Nigeria.
Ifeajuna himself was executed by firing squad when he was found guilty of sabotage along with three others during the Nigerian/Biafran war.
