No. The Queen is the Head of State but this position holds no power. The Queen is quite literally a figurehead with no political power. After the Glorious Revolution, the monarch's powers (Royal Prerogative) were unofficially transferred to Parliament.

They have a queen and a prime minister.

AnswerEngland doesn't have any of these. But the United Kingdom, which is made up of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland has a Queen as Head of State, and a Prime Minister as Head of Government.

The Queen doesn't make ANY political decisions in the UK, although traditionally every new law must be given the 'Royal Assent', ie the Queen must sign it for it to be brought into use, but this is just a formality, she has no power of veto.

The queen is in charge of the country and the Prime Minster is like the Deputy of the country. But they are massiveresponsibilities.
