There has been some controversy in regards to the actual line up but as far as putting the pieces together this is what is certain; Suzie Holub (center) was a Dallas Cheerleader for only one year, 1976.In conversing with actual DCC Alumni and other collectors and historians, the actual line up is as follows :Kris MarulloSuzette RussellSuzie HolubCynde LewisDebbie WagenerKris is not listed anywhere by name with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. She ended up leaving the squad for some reason, but usually when a cheerleader doesn't finish out the season, they are not officially recognized.A copy of the poster is viewable in the related links.A take off of that poster was published by Playboy Magazine in January of 79 with Farrah Fawcett-Majors on the cover. A group of ex-Dallas Cheerleaders formed their own group called "Texas Cowgirls Inc." They closely resembled the Dallas Cheerleaders but would perform with less restrictions that the DCC maintained.

The Dallas Cowboys as we know them today were pretty much invented by Tex Schramm, the team's first president and general manager. For instance, it was Schramm's idea for the Cowboys to wear white jerseys at home so that opposing teams would wear the uniforms that fans were used to seeing on television. Schramm also dropped the Cowboys' original white helmets and double-star jerseys in favor of a color scheme he believed looked cool on television. He was correct in his instincts. The Cowboys' blue metallic helmets have become iconic in the National Football League. Schramm also is credited with turning the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders into a world-renowned group with a fan following of its own. In the early 1970s, he came up with the idea of a sidelines squad that combined the pizzazz of Las Vegas showgirls with girl-next-door wholesomeness. The result caused a sensation throughout the league and the creation of other cheerleading groups that were more like dance teams.
They don't, as a group. Individual members went to any number of different colleges (most of them have already been to college, and played football there).

Sex Appeal.Pretty scantily clad girls jumping around at a football game.1970sIn the early 1970s, Cowboys manager Tex Schramm decided to change their image to boost attendance. At first he simply tried hiring professional models, but that did not work due to their lack of athletic ability. He then knew that he needed professional dancers with stamina who would be able to perform through an entire game. He worked with local choreographer Texie Waterman, who was charged with auditioning and training an entirely new and unique squad which would combine an attractive appearance, athletic ability, and talent as performers.[citation needed]This group, The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, first appeared on the sidelines during the 1972-1973 NFL season.[citation needed]Even greater national attention came in 1978 when the squad was on two network TV specials, NBC Rock-n-Roll Sports Classicand The Osmond Brothers Special on ABC. In 1978, they had their own hour-long special to launch the season for Monday Night Football.[citation needed]On 14 January 1979, the made-for-TV movie The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (1979) aired. Starring Jane Seymour, it had a 48% share of the national television audience.[2][3]
