Professor John Swan is an Australian scientist. He studied Organic Chemistry and is a professional Organic Chemist. He has accomplished many things in life such as completing his diploma and also in 1971and 1975 he served as a pro vice-chancellor and became dean of the Faculty of Science in 1976. He remained in this position up until his retirement in 1984. After his retirement, he was appointed as an emeritus professor and in 1994 he was awarded a DSc from Monash University.
