Catholic Answer:
The only archangels mentioned in The Bible are Gabriel, Michael and Raphael.
Ezekiel was a prophet of the exiled Jews. He was also a priest. His ministry was almost entirely in Babylon, where he was taken to as a captive of Nebuchadnezzar. His early prophesies warn of coming destruction, and later focus on the future restoration of Israel.
Ezekiel was a priest in the temple at Jerusalem towards the end of the monarchy in Judah, and was then deported to Babylon, where he wrote his book and preached to the exiled Jews. Daniel I. Block (The Book of Ezekiel), says that no other prophet is so creative in the presentation of his message, and none is as forceful. His use of extreme pornography, and of images of death and destruction, are part of his overtly forceful style. Much of his vocabulary, especially in chapters 16 and 23, has been toned down in English translations.
Ezekiel is never mentioned elsewhere in the Old Testament, leading to some debate as to whether his name was a pseudonym, perhaps for a slightly later author, but this view does not have strong support.

Yes I believe he was. But there appears to be some type of contradiction involved... let me explain.Within all religions there is no reference to Ezekiel being amongst those reported to be Archangels. However, there seems to be an error. If you read texts written by those who channel spirits, you will see that he is known to introduce himself as Archangel Ezekiel. It seems that even if the Bible and other religious texts neglect to mention it, Ezekiel is indeed an Archangel. That is how he introduced himself to me.In the Old Testament you can read about Ezekiel being a prophet of God. He is known as the Archangel that will appear to or around a person at a time of great transition and at death. He often announces his presence with a glowing or burning merkaba star.Answer:In Jewish tradition, the answer is no. Ezekiel was one of the prophets.
