He started playing guitar at the age of 7 and quickly started singing after. His first song he wrote when he was 7 was about a chicken. He started putting up videos of himself singing when he was about 11. Shawn Campbell from Atlantic Records found interest in him, and asked him to come over to the US to record with him. Cody's dad flew with him to LA and signed Cody to Atlantic Records when he was 12. His first song with Atlantic Records was One. The song that pretty much got him started, though, was iYiyi. He now has over a million followers on twitter, a million facebook likes, he has two albums out (4 U and Coast to Coast), and he is working on his third album as he is on tour: Welcome to Paradise.
His little sister Alli (who was born April 24, 1998) is also quit popular. The YouTube star is a funny, beautiful girl who is friends with a bunch of celebrities such as Greyson Chance, Christian Beatles, Jessica Jerral, Maddison Pettis, and many many more. Her and Cody are very close with eachother and they're little brother Tom.
