NO, NO, NO the answer at the top is wrong. Mario has strength but Sonic will Dodge that. Mario makes weird noises when he fights. Even if he uses his Mario Kart to catch him, he still won't catch him. Cause Mario's Kart cannot produce a Sonic Boom like Sonic can. Even a Blue Shell can't catch him cause it can't do a sonic boom either. Actually, NONE of Mario's things can't catch him. Another reason, Sonic can easily pwn robots which are metal and Mario isn't metal.

Mario is better in Super Smash Bros. Brawl because he is a well-balanced character who can beat any character.
Mario's cape, when mastered, makes all of the other SSBB characters eat Mario's dust. The cape is a pretty handy weapon, FYI. The cape can prevent recoveries, deflect projectiles/attacks, and turn enemies the other direction. The cape also helps Mario recover from getting knocked off stage.
