- Tepig, but as Emboar he can't learn many good moves. He learns, literally, 7 physical moves, and five total special moves. However, he does have the best type advantages, as he can rip through gym 1, 2, 3, and 7 with no help at all.
- Just pick your favorite type. In past games, there was a best choice based on the first gym leader. In B&W the first gym actually has 3 leaders, and the one you battle is based on your starter.
- Oshawott is the best - maybe not in the beginning but at the last form it is awesome! Its water attacks can destroy Tepig and its forms and the ice attacks can destroy Snivy and its forms.
- I suggest Oshawott or Snivy.
