The name is an approximation of Goat-sucker. they are strange animals not found in orthodox zoology manuals! There appear to be different species of something that is between a mammal and an armored reptile- but one can argue the Armadillo- not found in those parts, also fits this model. I will have to say there is something to Chupacabras- and it does appear there is more than one kind or species!
