He did not invent or discover electricity. It was already known. He was one of the ones that helped bring it into everyday life.

No one person is given credit for inventing electricity. It did not get discovered all at once. People learned more about gradually over centuries.
Saint Ninian, a missionary and bishop, is often credited with being one of the first to bring Christianity to Scotland in the 4th century. He established a church at Whithorn in Galloway, which became an important center for Christianity in Scotland.
