in kingdom hearts the wielder of the keyblade is sora he lived on an island with his childhood friends riku and kiari riku would have been chosen but darkness leaked to him and he had a great attraction to it.and because of this sora's hearts was stronger so he weilds the keyblade instead.and ansem the wise wanted to see how strong hearted kiari from radiant gardens of hollow bastion would react with one of the keyblade bearers so through this when darkness swollowed their island he had kiari's hearts which made his stronger.but he wasen't the only one long before sora one of ansem the wise's aprentices xehanort was one of the wielders until he mysteriously disappeared....
