The US House of Representatives, which is the lower house of the US Congress, does not have a president. Each party elects its leader and the leader of the majority party is the Speaker of the House and is the presiding officer over House meetings. John Boehner is the current House Speaker and will undoubtedly keep his position in the new Congress since his party, the Republicans, maintained their majority in the 2012 elections.
