The original lineup of Fleetwood Mac, led by Peter Green from 1967 to 1970 did play a major part in the British Blues boom, and were rightly considered a British blues band. Green's style of playing impressed BB King, and the band recorded with several blues greats at Chess in Chicago in 1969. When Peter Green left the band in 1970, followed in the next couple of years by the departures of Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan, the band's link to the blues was all but gone!
As a whole no, though there are some influences typical big band style thrown in. Go to this youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiGuByp6PvU Between 1:09 and 1:15 it is 100% Big Band; that's what you're looking for when you want to hear a big band, which typically is comprised of trumpet, trombone, sax, and rhythm section (piano, guitar, bass, drums).
yeah their played pretty much the same except lead sometimes has a guitar solo
See the link to see what "the blues" are - if you never get them, you'd be happy and upbeat.
The Duke Street Kings are a Denver Colorado, blues/rock band. The name comes from the Bruce Springsteen song ''Backstreets''. A link to the Duke Street King's website is below
Although it is arguable as to the exact date that any well-known individual became famous, according to Wikipedia (refer to the link, below), Chuck Berry's probably started " . . . on May 21, 1955 Berry covered "Ida Red" (renamed "Maybellene") with Johnny Johnson, Jerome Green (from Bo Diddley's band) on the maracas, Jasper Thomas on the drums and blues legend Willie Dixon on the bass. "Maybellene" sold over a million copies, reaching #1 on Billboard's Rhythm and Blues chart and #5 on the Hot 100."
