Before Yaakov Avinu died he was about to tell his sons when Mashiach would come. However, as Rashi (Bereishis, 49;1) relates, the divine providence left him and he forgot. The Midrash (Bereishis Rabbah, 98;2), however, relates that Yaakov told his sons "Though it is not known when the Day of Judgment will be, I do tell you that the hour you gather and assemble together you shall be redeemed."
no one knows for sure but God willing he will appear in any day...see the writings of the rambam....
The Mashiach (messiah).
The Jews do not believe that God can take a human form. Mashiach (the anointed) will be a descendant of David and entirely human.
mashiach (משיח) is pronounced mah-SHEE-ahkh
messiah = משיח (mashiach)
anointed = mashiach (משיח)
Jesus Christ, his original name is Yeshua Mashiach.
Mashiach (English: messiah). According to Jewish belief, the messiah hasn't yet come.
Jews have been returning to Israel for decades, and substantially more than halfof the world's Jews live there now. Rebuilding the Holy Temple will be a problembut, might I observe, not the first problem to have been encountered there.Answer:In effect, the question is asking when the mashiach (messiah) will come. Because prior to that, no responsible Rabbi has or will call for an attempt to rebuild the Temple. Not only because we don't have the required level of ritual purity, but also because we're not going to do anything to endanger the Jewish community.So: when will the mashiach come? No human being knows. Attempts to guess, or predict, or press for his coming have all ended in embarrassment - at best.
Belief in the eventual coming of the mashiach is a basic and fundamental part of traditional Judaism. Modern scholars suggest that the messianic concept was introduced later in the history of Judaism, during the age of the prophets. They note that the messianic concept is not explicitly mentioned anywhere in the Torah (the first five books of The Bible). Jews use the term "mashiach" which literally means "the anointed one," and refers to the ancient practice of anointing kings with oil when they took the throne. The mashiach is the one who will be anointed as king in the End of Days. Christians believe the Messianic prophecies were fulfilled in the mission, death, and resurrection of Jesus and that he will return to fulfill the rest of Messianic prophecy.
