The answer to this question depends on the religion in which the question is asked. For example, Jews, Christians and Muslims would say that their God, the Abrahamic God, is the most powerful god - in fact the only god. Zoroastrians would say that Ahura Mazda is the most powerful god, and once again the only god. Many Hindus would say that Brahman is the most powerful god. And so on. For you, the most powerful god is the god you believe will end your life on earth. and that will be in judgemet day

Vishnu, the Inconceivable Supreme, is considered by many people as the most powerful god of Hinduism, as, in the Vishnu Sahasranama he is called Paramatman or Parameshwara, and is periodically reborn as an Avatar upon earth in order to destroy evil and bring deliverance to the pious.

He is also considered to be the first god, Adideva. He has not conquered death in his human avatars, to set an example that evryone born needs to die. In the form of a god, however, he is beyond birth and death.

In Hinduism there are seven basic gods, which together form the supreme Hindu god Brahman.

THE SEVEN BASIC HINDU GODS:

They are,

1. Indra - the god of day dreaming

2. Shakti - the god of illusion

3. Brahma - the god of creativity

4. Vishnu - the god of stabilization

5. Shiva - the god of determination

6. Shani - the god of status increase

7. Yama - the god of compulsion

These are specialist gods. Each of them is the most powerful for the purpose he is meant for. Therefore, according to Brahmajnana all the seven basic Hindus gods are equal.

THE MATERIALISTIC AND NON MATERIALISTIC GODS:

Yama is the most powerful god for converting a thought into action. However, Yama and Shani can't be appeased by an ordinary Hindu, Therefore, Shiva, for all practical purposes, is considered as the most powerful Hindu god.

For abolishing an action Indra is the most powerful.

Vishnu facilitates/abolishes thoughts and actions equally, but to the least extent. However, he is the Hindu god with maximum features, next only to Brahman.

MATERIALISTIC AND NON MATERIALISTIC GODS:

Yama is the most powerful god for converting an idea into action and Indra is the most powerful for converting an action into an idea and thus abolish the action. However, Yama and Shani are unreliable and can even be detrimental. Therefore, for all practical purposes, Shiva is considered, materialistically, the most powerful Hindu god.

Vishnu is equally powerful in converting a thought into an action and an action into a thought, though he is the least powerful for both of these. However, Vishnu is the most feature filled Hindu god and the most reliable, next only to Brahman. He is the ordinary Hindu's supreme god.

Krishna is the most materialistic incarnation of Vishnu and he humiliates Indra, the most popular Vedic god but the least materialistic.

For earning money, Venkateshwara incarnation of Vishnu is more powerful than even Yama because, unlike Yama, he is believed to have lived on earth Therefore, he enables his worshipper to take advantage of science also.

In Brahman, the opposing gods are in equilibrium therefore, it just enables the worshipper maintain status quo. and thus the least powerful. However, it is made of powerful god which can be used individually.

However, for making life perfect, Brahman is the most powerful Hindu god.
