Milo and his friends, Chroma and the Soundkeeper, were able to escape from the Gelatinous Giant by using Soundkeeper's tuning fork to shatter the giant into pieces. This action released them from the giant's grasp and allowed them to continue on their journey.
Milo restored sound in 'The Phantom Tollbooth' by retrieving the missing sound conductor named Dynne from the Valley of Sound. By reuniting Dynne with the Soundkeeper, the sound was able to return to the kingdom of Wisdom.
